They are extremely simple to use and a recent study has shown very positive results for accuracy.

 

How to carry out body fat tests... Following the enclosed instructions, note the precise locations of each skinfold site. For example, the abdomen skinfold site is 1 inch to the right of the belly button etc. Measure it with a tape measure or ruler, don't guess! The triceps site is midway  between the tip of the shoulder and elbow, use a tape or ruler to measure  exactly halfway.That way you can measure at exactly the same place each time and accurately compare your results. You can even mark each location with a felt  pen. Once you've marked the locations measure each skinfold. Then  measure them again and then a third time. Using the average of 3  readings will significantly increase your accuracy.
